Managing Former Peers

Do you have people shifting into management roles? This month we released a new course, “Managing Former Peers,” to help new managers adjust to their new leadership position.

Participants learn how to prepare mentally for their new role, anticipate a wide range of reactions from former peers, and recognize how their responsibilities and relationships will change. The course provides practical tools for establishing credibility, handling pushback and resistance, and building trust and morale. Lastly, learners explore common pitfalls to avoid as a supervisor, such as overusing authority, pretending to have all the answers, or trying to do everything alone.
