Hazard Communication Training – OSHA’s Final Rule

In 2024, OSHA updated its Hazard Communication Standard to match newer international rules. The changes make labels and safety sheets clearer, add new hazard categories (like chemicals under pressure), and give more detailed guidance on small containers and shipments—overall, it’s about making chemical safety info easier to understand and more consistent. This month we have released several new courses reflecting the latest Hazard Communication Standard updates.

“Hazard Communication In The Workplace” provides training on the Hazard Communication Standard for general industry employers, incorporating the latest changes. This training discusses the sources of hazardous materials (HAZMATs) information, including toxins, irritants, carcinogens, flammables, oxidizers, and more. Viewers learn about the proper personal protection equipment (PPE) to use around hazardous materials. Viewers also learn how to get the correct information to respond to a HAZMAT spill.

“Understanding The HAZCOM Final Rule” isolates the changes from the final ruling and explores them in-depth. From improved hazard classification processes to mandatory modifications for Safety Data Sheets (SDS), this course shows employees the details of the final ruling from OSHA. It also walks employees through container labeling requirements, ensuring that every label supports worker comprehension and aligns with global standards. This course would make a great supplement to any existing hazard communication training you wish to continue using.
