Overview

HAZWOPER: Introduction to HAZWOPER Retraining

To keep employees aware of hazardous chemicals, and to regulate these discarded materials, OSHA created the Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) standard. According to HAZWOPER, your work site is required to establish and maintain a site safety and health plan, emergency response plan, and programs to keep workers healthy and safe. Use this online training as a refresher course for emergency responders and hazardous waste employees.

Through this course, HAZMAT employees are reminded of the components of HAZWOPER such as: site safety and health plans, standard operating procedures, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), exposure monitoring, decontamination, and medical surveillance programs. This course also supplies your workers with a refresher on the 5 levels of training in emergency response.

By viewing this online training course and following HAZWOPER standards, your HAZMAT employees will understand how to keep themselves and others safe while working with hazardous chemicals.

This course has been updated to include GHS container labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for GHS compliance.
