There are numerous chemicals and materials used in our manufacturing processes necessary in the production of our finished products and beneficial to manufacturing. However, these same materials can become, or contribute to the creation of, hazardous waste. As this course shows, the purpose of the RCRA (Resource Conservation Recovery Act) of 1976, and its recently updated new requirements, is to ensure all workers who handle and store hazardous waste know, understand and comply with these new and existing rules and regulations.
Spotlighting the EPS’s E-manifest system, this course presents employees with the information necessary for RCRA compliance, including classifications of regulated hazardous waste, characteristics to determine if waste is hazardous, the RCRA categories regulating the generation of hazardous waste, storage specifications of satellite accumulation areas, and waste container labeling.
Use this course so all employees who handle and store hazardous waste are current with the RCRA’s existing and newly updated revisions and requirements to facilitate full compliance.
