Defensive Driving: When Good Weather Goes Bad
Like ice, rainy weather makes for slick driving conditions; after a spring shower, oil already pooled on the roadways will layer on top of the rain water. This mix can easily funnel through tire tread, and cause the vehicle to either spin-out or hydroplane. In either case, the driver has lost control.
The defensive driving training video accordingly demonstrates how to best maneuver a vehicle through a variety of like weather emergencies, including flood, snow, wind and fog conditions. Through incident reenactments, the program demonstrates how taking preventative measures, such as checking tire tread depth and chipping ice from the windshield, can help reduce the risk of wrecks and injuries.
When good weather goes bad, it is best to drive defensively, to adhere to the three second rule and keep your car in peak shape. Use this video to help your workforce drive safely no matter what the weather brings.
