Upon first glance, working in a collaborative environment may seem easy. It certainly has its benefits, such as ready access to others who are working on the same project should you have questions or require assistance. An open environment, however, is not without its challenges. Workers have to navigate a number of potential issues, including food odors, noise levels, and basic personal hygiene, in order to work effectively. While these concerns seem rudimentary, they can derail an open environment. In this training video, you will learn about the common issues facing employees working in such an environment, as well as how to protect against them.
In an open workspace, you need to be able to create conditions that allow you to work well, but you also need to be respectful of others so they can work well. One of the easiest ways to do so is to pay attention to the noise you are making. Food, whether through odor, noise, or hygiene, can also cause problems, as can too much perfume or not dressing appropriately. Luckily, this course shows you how easily you can address such problems.
Once everyone is aware of how his or her behavior affects others, a truly collaborative workspace can be created. Utilize the information presented here and help create a more harmonious environment for both yourself as well as those around you.
