Sexual Harassment Prevention in Illinois
By law, sexual harassment is not tolerated in any workplace. To help prevent sexual harassment many states have passed specific laws regarding work practices for harassment prevention. The state of Illinois passed a law for 2020, The Workplace Transparency Act, requiring all employees to complete harassment prevention training on an annual basis. This video training course provides Illinois employees with the training necessary to comply with state laws and help prevent harassment in the workplace.
This video starts by exploring the two types of sexual harassment, quid pro quo and hostile environment harassment. This training demonstrates behaviors considered harassment. Viewers learn about the “Reasonable Person Standard.” The course details the different examples of illegal and potentially illegal acts of harassment. Finally, the course explains steps for reporting harassment, implications of retaliation, and consequences related to harassment and retaliation.
