There are federal and state laws in place protecting individuals from sexual harassment. In addition, there exist mechanisms for reporting and investigating harassment expediently and appropriately. Some states require employees complete specific training to ensure they understand the laws and their own role in preventing harassment. The Delaware Discrimination in Employment Act protects people against discrimination in the workplace, as well as against sexual harassment at work.
This course helps employees identify and differentiate between the two forms of sexual harassment, quid pro quo and hostile work environment. The course also explains the zero-tolerance stance which employers are expected to adopt, the supervisor’s role in preventing the behavior, reporting/retaliation and consequences of the behavior.
Use this course to help managers and supervisors become more aware of laws and expectations around sexual harassment prevention and complying with Delaware laws.
