Overview

Microsoft PowerPoint 2010: Adding Special Effects to a Presentation

Special effects enhance PowerPoint presentations. This lesson on Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 teaches how to insert videos, use the advanced animation options, and change the order of animation.

The instructor explains how videos can be used to demonstrate or entertain, and shows how to link to a video to include in the presentation. She shows how to change the format style the video is displayed in, and how to make edits, such as trimming, which allows the presenter to adjust where the video begins and ends. Viewers learn that PowerPoint 2010 only links to videos and does not save the video to the PowerPoint file, so if the presentation is sent to someone else the video has to be sent along with it.
