Hand injuries are common in oilfield operations; 27% of on the job injuries are hand injuries. The goal of this training video is to help you prevent oilfield hand injuries.
This training video explains how loose clothing, jewelry, inattention and unsafe work procedures may cause accidents and injuries. The video looks at the hazards and risk factors common at oilfield worksites and explains the types of hand protection and gloves for oilfield workers. Characteristics of gloves are described and the proper glove removal procedure is explained. The importance of correct hand placement in safeguarding against injuries is stressed.
