Workplace Violence
In a recent report published by the Bureau of Justice Statistics from 2019, a total of 17,865 workers were victims of workplace homicides from 1992 to 2019. Workplace violence occurs in many different types of workplaces. Incidents can stem from arguments with a co-worker to a situation with a customer or vendor. The Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) provides concise guidance for employers on ensuring a workplace free from death and serious injury, and employers must follow the guidelines to promote safe conditions.
