Lead Exposure in Construction Environments

This course dives into the impact the exposure of lead can have on those who work in construction. In fact, the risk of exposure to lead is so high in the construction industry OSHA created a standard specific to the construction industry.

This course explains the health impact of lead exposure, The OSHA Lead Standard for Construction and Compliance Programs, and risk assessment and monitoring. The latter half of the course focused on demonstrating best practices for housekeeping and decontamination, use of PPE (personal protection equipment) and respiratory protection, and medical surveillance and removal.

This course should be used and shared with those working in the construction industry, construction project supervisors and other administrative personnel to ensure as safe and healthy conditions as possible.
