Trenching and Shoring in Construction Environments
Compared to other areas on a construction site, working in an excavation more than doubles an employee’s chances of being killed on the job. This training course shows employees the safe work practices necessary for trenching and shoring. This video explores how to limit the dangers of working in trenches.
This training gives examples of proper inspection protocol to determine what safety procedures must be followed when working in a trench. Other topics covered include trenching hazards, the “competent person,” soil types, protective systems, access and egress of trenches, and how to work defensively.
Educate workers on the dangers of trenching and shoring so they can help keep the construction site safe for all workers.
