Scissor Lifts In Industrial And Construction Environments
When a ladder isn’t sufficient for getting to high places, scissor lifts are often the best solution. However, working with scissor lifts requires knowing and complying with OSHA and ANSI scissor lifts safety standards.
In 2020, ANSI made some revisions to their current Standard for “Mobile Elevating Work Platforms” (MEWPS) which includes scissor lifts. This course spotlights each of the three significant, specific scissor lift changes to ANSI standards. With detailed explanations of each standard, this course prepares workers to understand what’s included in a scissor lift Safe Use Program. The course also demonstrates the 2 types of inspections that must be performed before using a scissor lift, and how to recognize and mitigate related hazards.
Present this course so all employees who work with or near scissor lifts understand and comply with regulations and utilize safe work practices.
