DOT Reasonable Suspicion Testing For Managers And Supervisors: Part 1

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates that in 2022, road accidents resulted in 42,795 deaths and 1.5 million injuries. To help reduce these numbers, professional drivers must be prevented from driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol – the objective of this course.

Spotlighting Reasonable Suspicion Testing, the most unique of the six situations in which motor carrier employees are required to go under drug and alcohol testing, this first part of a two-part course teaches motor carrier employers, managers, and supervisors how, when, and why to take action if they think an employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Upon completing Part 1, managers and supervisors will fully understand Reasonable Suspicion Testing, What Makes Suspicion “Reasonable,” General Signs Of Substance Use Disorders, Behavioral Signs Of Drug Use, and Physical Signs of Drug Use.
