Effective Performance Reviews
Regular performance reviews are an effective way to align employees with company goals. This online training course shows how reviews can be used to revive employee motivation, set objectives for the future, assess training needs, and address other important workplace matters.
This course teaches managers what to avoid during a review. For example, the review should focus on the employee’s performance, and not be used to compare them to others. Also, do not use ultimatums such as “always” and “never” because they can make an employee feel defensive. Avoid saying there is not enough time for performance reviews, as they should be a priority.
Following the video, viewers are given a three-part action plan to complete that includes frequency of reviews, planning reviews, and evaluating reviews.
