The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) developed revised standards regarding the safe use, design, and operation, as well as effective training of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs.). ANSI A92, which replaces the former aerial work platforms (AWPs), seeks to replace the older standards.
This course discusses the compliance aspect regarding the new standards, MEWP classification, training, risk assessment, performing the pre-operational inspection, function tests, critical safety aspects, and raising, lowering, and dismounting the platform.
