Forklift Safety Lessons For The Safe Pedestrian
Pedestrians will always lose when involved in an accident with a forklift. This training video is designed to help reduce the forklift-pedestrian accident rate by raising awareness of how to work safely in the presence of forklifts. The training reminds pedestrians to always be on the lookout for forklifts and other motorized lifts, to look and listen for them and to yield to them. General safety rules, such as keeping a safe distance, avoiding the rear of forklifts, never walking under a raised load, never riding the forks, never distracting a driver, paying attention to where you are walking, and making sure your path is clear of obstructions, such as lowered forks, are stressed.
Workers can be lulled into complacency when working around motorized lifts. This video reminds them of the many dangers forklifts pose. Provide the training pedestrians need to safely work near this equipment.
