Though widely used in warehouses and distribution centers, forklifts can be dangerous. Operator error causes property damage, injury, and even death. This online training course is part of a series about Forklift Operation Certification and teaches the safe work practices workers must follow to load, unload and operate a forklift safely.
This comprehensive course shows the important steps to take before loading and goes on to explain the precautions to take before landing a load once the destination has been reached. This course demonstrates the checkpoints an operator must be aware of, including the load weight, and position of where to land the load.
This course also explains what to do when faced with obstructions, wet or slippery conditions, inclines, and other potentially hazardous situations, and shows tips to help keep co-workers safe.
Learn how to safely load and operate a forklift by taking this online training course.
Please note, to be a certified forklift operator a driver must also have practical training. This includes hands-on instruction, live demonstrations, and practice exercises on the forklift, and cannot be done online. Evaluation of the operator's performance must be done in the workplace, and cannot be done online.
