Employee Safety Orientation: Starting Out Right
Working in a potentially hazardous environment means learning to be risk aware and safety aware. Being aware of risks prompts workers to do safety assessments each and every time they perform a work task. Processes and procedures are put in place to help keep everyone safe on the job. This comprehensive safety orientation training demonstrates the different ways in which new workers can promote a safe working environment.
This course is divided up into different modules that focus on a particular area of workplace safety. The first few modules present different types of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Learning when and how to protect your hearing, hands, head, eyes, feet, and lungs are covered in this course.
This course also discusses the everyday dangers present in your workplace. Other modules demonstrate safe work practices for the handling of hazardous materials, preventing slips, trips, and falls, forklift safety, hazard communication, lockout-tagout, and bloodborne pathogen risks. Workers also learn the necessary precautions they need to take when dealing with emergencies or injuries.
