Overview

In the U.S., most employers with at least 15 employees (20 employees in age discrimination cases) are subject to federal legislation that prohibits workplace discrimination as well as harassment, which is considered a form of discrimination. This course explains the full applications of this legislation, administered and enforced by the EEOC, (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) that assures employees of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) the EEOC guarantees them.

Showing employees how EEO legislation addresses people within certain categories or with certain characteristics, called “protected groups,” or “protected classes” that have often been the object of prejudice and discrimination, this course clarifies EEOC workplace legislation. Collectively, the Introduction and the four main topics in this course (EEO And Workplace Harassment; Retaliation And “Protected Activity”; The Protected Classes; and Strategic Enforcement Plan (SEP) For 2024 Through 2028) provide learners with a sound understanding of their rights and protections as employees and their legal obligations as business owners or managers.

Teach this course to help ensure everyone fully understands what EEO means and the legal responsibility each U.S. business has for extending it all employees.
