Bloodborne Pathogens General Awareness
Diseases caused by bloodborne pathogens can be serious. It is crucial for workers to know how to prevent their risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens. This training focuses on the importance of understanding what bloodborne pathogens are and how to protect oneself.
This training video goes over OSHA’s basic protection guidelines. Washing hands, and using a barrier are basic information given to any person who may come into contact with a bloodborne pathogen at work. This course demonstrates routes of entry, universal precautions, the use of personal protective equipment, safe work practices, reporting and follow up for exposure incidents.
