OSHA Construction: Scaffolding Safety
When operating scaffolds, a construction worker must follow OSHA scaffold safety precautions. Many construction workers use scaffolds daily, exposing them to many safety hazards. Using appropriate scaffold construction methods can protect workers from these hazards, including scaffolding collapse, electrocution, bad planking, and falls. If construction workers are protected against such safety hazards, 4,500 injuries and 50 deaths each year could be prevented.
Use the OSHA guidelines outlined in this safety training video to educate construction workers about scaffolds and safety in the workplace.
