Falls: Fall Protection

Many jobs require work to be done above the ground, whether it is from the top of a ladder or on the suspension cables of bridge. It is important to remember, no matter what the height, working above ground is hazardous and requires extreme caution and attention to safety.

This training video starts with the basics of the worker’s responsibility to protect their own safety through correct procedures, it proceeds to explore the types of equipment and protective gear used to protect both the workers and people below them in the event of a fall or dropped equipment. This course explains the appropriate uses of the different types of fall protection gear and how to inspect them for safety.

Educated workers with correct equipment significantly reduce their risk of injury from a fall, and also reduce the risk of injury to those people who are below them on the ground. Use this course to provide awareness and the skills needed for your workers to safely work above the ground.
